Crochet Terms
The stitches themselves are the same just the British and American call them different things.
UK vs USA
Double crochet (dc) - Single crochet (sc)
Half Treble (htr) - Half Double crochet (hdc)
Treble crochet - (tr) - Double crochet (dc)
Double Treble (dtr) - Treble Crochet (tr)
Same for UK & USA
Sl st - slip Stitch
Ch - chain
Yo or yoh - yarn over/yarn over hook
Inc - increase stitch
Dec - Decrease stitch
Mr or mc - Magic ring/circle
Tog - together
Sp - space
Beg - beginning
Bp - back post
Fp - front post
Rnd(s) - round(s)
WS - wrong side
RS - right side
Blo - back loop only
Flo - front loop only

If you have a pattern and you’re unsure if it’s a uk or usa written pattern have a look at the abbreviations section for sc - single crochet. If this is in the pattern then it is written in usa terms.
